Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a global score of 65, which is much better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s score of 58.6. Both tablets we compare here have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has an older 4.1 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) body has the same thickness than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but it is notably heavier.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a little faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and they are faster) and 1 GB more RAM. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features just a bit better display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has a just a bit less pixels per inch of display, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also counts with a bigger screen.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a bit better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a back facing camera with a much higher 3 mega pixels resolution and a much higher (Full HD) video quality. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a way bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has 32 GB internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with a superior battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).
Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and give up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your money.
