Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a score of 60.7, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s 58.6 score. Both tablets we compare here work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has the older 4.1 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s design is a little lighter than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but it's a little thicker and was released 8 years before.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a bit better display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it has a way worse resolution of 600 x 1024, a quite smaller screen and a just a bit worse display density. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a way bigger memory for applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same 32 GB internal storage, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also has a SD card slot that holds up to 1000 GB.

Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a superior performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has more cores and 1 GB more RAM. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) captures much better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a much higher 3 megapixels resolution camera in the back.

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a really longer battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), resigning a couple features and specs.
