Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), having a 74.5 score against 58.6. Both of these devices have the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding operating system features. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5's body is thinner than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it's incredibly heavier and was released about a year before.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a slightly better looking display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a really bigger screen, a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920px and a just a bit greater quantity of pixels per inch of display. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with a quite bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also has a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features just a little better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has more RAM and 4 more processing cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a much better battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 takes a lot better videos and photos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a much higher 8 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera and a much better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), giving up some features and specs.
