Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), having a 74.5 score against 58.6. Both of these devices have the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding operating system features. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5's body is thinner than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it's incredibly heavier and was released about a year before.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a slightly better looking display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a really bigger screen, a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920px and a just a bit greater quantity of pixels per inch of display. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with a quite bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also has a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features just a little better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has more RAM and 4 more processing cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a much better battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).
