Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab A (2016) is just a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), having a 60.4 score against 58.6. Both tablets we compare here use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A (2016) has 5.1 Lollipop version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Despite of the fact that Galaxy Tab A (2016) is noticeably older than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), it's body is incredibly lighter and thinner.

Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also has more RAM. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a bit better looking display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 800 x 1280, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) also counts with a little bit better screen density.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) shoots greater photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has a way higher 5 MP resolution camera in the back. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a much better storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has more internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.

The Galaxy Tab A (2016) counts with a superior battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).

Although Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab A (2016), but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), resigning a couple specs and features.
