Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 is better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), with a overall score of 70 against 58.6. Although it's the best tablet in our current comparison, we must tell that it is also a way older, somewhat heavier and just a little thicker tablet. Both of these devices include the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (Operating System).
Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a processing unit that's just as good as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) one, although the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a higher number of cores (although they are slower) and a larger amount of RAM. Galaxy Tab Active 2 and Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) feature incredibly similar screens, they have the same pixel density, the same 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and a display with the same size.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has 16 GB more internal storage and a SD memory slot that allows up to 1000 GB. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a much longer battery life than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 captures much clearer pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a lot higher video quality and a camera in the back with a much higher 8 mega-pixels resolution.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
