Comparison review

Xperia Tablet S has a score of 58.9, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s 58.6 score. Even being the best we are comparing, we must tell that it's also notably older, somewhat thicker and much heavier. Both of these tablets work with Android OS, but the Xperia Tablet S has the older 4.1.1 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version.

The Xperia Tablet S features a little more vivid screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has a bit less pixels per inch of display, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Xperia Tablet S also counts with a larger screen. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with a bit better processing unit than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also counts with 1 GB more RAM memory.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with a better storage for games and applications than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that holds up to 1000 GB. Xperia Tablet S shoots much better videos and photos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a much higher 8 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera.

The Xperia Tablet S's battery performance is just as good as Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s battery duration.

Although Xperia Tablet S is a better device, it costs a lot more than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
