Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 has a general score of 65.7, which is much better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s 58.6 overall score. Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 counts with Android OS, while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie OS. Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is an a lot older tablet device than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but it is a lot thinner and just a little lighter anyway.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 counts with a much better looking screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher display pixel density and a way higher resolution of 1536 x 2048. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Mi Pad 2, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 counts with a bit better performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). They have a 2 GB RAM memory and a Quad-Core processing unit. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 features a greater camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a way more MP back-facing camera and a lot higher (Full HD) video definition.

If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
