Comparison review
Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) is a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), having a 61.8 score against 59.7. Both tablets we compare here include the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (operating system), so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding that. Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021)'s construction is newer and just a little thinner than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020)'s, but it's also heavier.
Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have a 3 GB RAM memory, the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) also has a larger number of 2 GHz cores. The Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) features a bit better looking screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because it has a way higher 1200 x 1920 resolution, a larger screen and a just a little greater display density.
Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) shoots much better pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution, the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) also has a camera in the back with a much better 5 megapixels resolution.
Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) features just a bit bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have equal internal storage, the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) has a battery duration that's just as good as Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020)'s battery life.
