Comparison review
The Huawei MediaPad M1 has a general score of 61.5, which is a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020)'s 59.7 overall score. Despite of the fact that the Huawei MediaPad M1 is incredibly older than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), it's construction is just a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner. These tablets come with Android operating system, but the Huawei MediaPad M1 has 4.2.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Huawei MediaPad M1 has a sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). Both of them have the same pixel density, a screen of the same size and exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) counts with a bit better hardware performance than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also has a larger amount of RAM.
Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with a superior camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because it has a way higher 1920x1080 video definition and a back-facing camera with a way better resolution. Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) counts with much more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 1000 GB and 24 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Huawei MediaPad M1 features a very superior battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020).
Although Huawei MediaPad M1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). So if you want that extra features, you can buy Huawei MediaPad M1, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), giving up a couple features and specifications.
