Microsoft Surface 2 is slightly better than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), getting a 63.4 score against 59.7. The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with Windows RT 8.1 OS, while Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) works with Android 9.0 Pie OS. The Microsoft Surface 2 is a way older and heavier device than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but Microsoft managed to make it a little bit thinner anyway.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features just a little better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also has 1 GB more RAM. Microsoft Surface 2 features a slightly better display than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because it has a just a little higher number of pixels per inch in the display, a lot better resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a really bigger display.
