Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a general score of 65.1, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020)'s 59.7 overall score. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, and Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) comes with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Although it's the best device in this comparison, it must be told that it is also a way older, extremely heavier and way thicker device.
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a little bit better looking screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because it has a little bit higher display pixels density, a lot larger screen and a lot better resolution of 1080 x 1920px. The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features just a little better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and they are faster).
Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) takes greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. They have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality. Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 2, else you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), letting go some specifications.
