Samsung Ativ Tab is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), getting a score of 66.7 against 59.7. Although the Samsung Ativ Tab is noticeably older and a lot heavier than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), it's construction is still a bit thinner. Samsung Ativ Tab comes with Windows RT operating system, and Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) counts with Android 9.0 Pie operating system.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features just a little better performance than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and they are faster) and a higher amount of RAM memory. The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) and the Samsung Ativ Tab both feature similar displays, because although the Samsung Ativ Tab has a bit worse quantity of pixels per display inch, it also counts with a bit higher 768 x 1366 resolution and a bigger display.
Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) counts with a bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has only 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 1000 GB. Samsung Ativ Tab features a much longer battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020).
The Samsung Ativ Tab has a much better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (HD) video quality, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has a back-facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it costs a lot more than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
