Comparison review

Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has an overall score of 63, which is a little bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020)'s 59.7 overall score. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has an older 4.4.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is a notably older and much heavier tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but Samsung was able to make it just a little thinner anyway.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE features a display that's very similar to the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) one, because although the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has a bit worse number of pixels per inch of screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, it also counts with a larger screen.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a little bit better performance than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE captures better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE also has a way higher resolution back facing camera.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has much more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because it has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1000 GB and 32 GB internal memory. The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) and the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE both have really similar battery durations.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), giving up some features and specs.
