Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has an overall score of 60.7, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020)'s general score of 59.7. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a older and just a little bit thicker tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but Samsung managed to make it just a bit lighter anyway. Both of these tablets use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has older 4.1 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with just a bit better looking screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), although it has a little less pixels per inch in the display, a bit smaller screen and a much lower resolution of 600 x 1024px. The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a much greater memory capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a greater number of cores and a larger amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a much better battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a back camera with a lot better 3 mega-pixels resolution.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a better device, it costs more than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). If you want to save some money, you can get the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
