Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a score of 74.5, which is way better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020)'s 59.7 overall score. Both devices in this review have the same Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Galaxy Tab A 10.5's design is thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but it is noticeably heavier and was released about a year before.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 counts with a bit better display than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because it has a little bit better screen pixels density, a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a much larger screen. Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a better storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1000 GB.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a bit faster processor than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have a 3 GB RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has more cores (although slower).
