The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), getting a global score of 60.4 against 59.7. Both tablets we compare here include Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has older 5.1 Lollipop version while Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is an extremely older tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but Samsung managed to make it thinner and extremely lighter anyway.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a bit faster CPU than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
