The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a little bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), having a general score of 62.8 against 59.7. Despite of the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is noticeably older than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), it's body is somewhat lighter and thinner. Both of these tablets have Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has an older 7.1 Nougat version while Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) counts with a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also has a bit more pixels per inch in the screen and a quite better 800 x 1280px resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 shoots better videos and photos than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a lot higher 5 mega pixels resolution camera.

Although Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 8.0, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), letting go a couple features and specifications.
