Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). Both of them have a display of the same size, a better pixel count in each inch in the screen and the same exact resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, and they both have 4 cores, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also counts with a larger amount of RAM.
Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features a much greater storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 1000 GB and 32 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy Tab Active has a very superior battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020).
The Galaxy Tab Active takes much clearer pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a lot more MP camera in the back.

So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab Active, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), letting go a couple specs and features.
