Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 is just a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8, having a 58 score against 53.3. Despite of the fact Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 is older and thicker than the Amazon Fire HD 8, it's body is still just a little bit lighter. Both tablets in this comparison review work with Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has older 4.2.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a much more vibrant display than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a lot better display density.
