The Google Nexus 7 (2013) is way better than Amazon Fire HD 8, with a 70.7 score against 53.3. Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s construction is a little bit lighter than the Amazon Fire HD 8, but it is somewhat thicker and was released 2 years before. Both of these tablets come with the same Android 5.0 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't perceive any differences in that aspect.

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a bit better processing unit than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has an extra graphics processor, a larger number of 1.5 GHz cores and a greater amount of RAM. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a way better screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater display pixel density and a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920px.
