The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a global score of 66, which is way better than Amazon Fire HD 8's global score of 53.3. These tablets use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has an older 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is an older, a little thicker and a bit heavier tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 8.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a little better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has more cpu cores , an additional graphics processor and a greater amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a bit sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8. Both of them have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800, a display with the same size and a better pixel count per screen inch.
