Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, getting a 74.5 score against 66.3. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a notably newer device than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but it is a little thicker and much heavier. These devices use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4.
