Comparison review
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), with a global score of 67.9 against 59.7. These devices have Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the older 4.4 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is an a lot older and a little heavier portable tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but Amazon made it noticeably thinner anyway.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much better looking display than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because it has a way higher resolution of 1600 x 2560, a way higher pixels quantity per display inch and a bit larger screen. Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) counts with a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit better performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because it has a lot better (Full HD) video definition and a camera in the back with way more MP.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020)'s battery duration is just as good as the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 one.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), giving up a couple specifications.
