The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is just a bit better than the iPad mini (6th Gen), having a 67.9 score against 65. Although the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is better than the iPad mini (6th Gen), it must be noted that it is also a way older, way heavier and thicker portable tablet. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 comes with Android 4.4 operating system, while iPad mini (6th Gen) works with iPadOS 15.x operating system.
