Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 67.9, which is better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8's overall score of 61.2. Both of these devices work with the same Android 4.4 OS (Operating System), so they should give identical operating system features. Despite being the best portable tablet in this review, Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a just a bit thicker and way heavier portable tablet than Asus MeMO Pad 8.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much better screen than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a quite greater pixels density, a little bit bigger screen and a better 1600 x 2560px resolution. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with just a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has just a little better processing power than Asus MeMO Pad 8. They have 2 GB of RAM memory and 4 cpu cores. Asus MeMO Pad 8's battery duration is very similar to the battery life in Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much better camera than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a lot more MP back camera and a lot higher (Full HD) video resolution.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Asus MeMO Pad 8. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Asus MeMO Pad 8, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
