Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T, having a general score of 67.9 against 57.6. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 body is newer, somewhat thinner and way lighter than the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T. These tablets have Android OS, but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the older 4.4 version while Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T has Android 4.4.2 version.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features just a bit better screen than Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1600 x 2560 resolution, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a quite higher screen density. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a little faster processor than Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T. Both have 2 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 takes much clearer pictures and videos than Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has a camera in the back with much more MP. The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T counts with a bit more storage for applications and games than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 128 GB.
The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T's battery life is very similar to Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's battery duration.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T, letting go some specifications.
