Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has an overall score of 67.9, which is just a bit better than the Asus ZenPad S 8.0's global score of 62.2. Although it's the best device in this review, it must be told that it is also a somewhat thicker and way heavier device. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit faster processor than Asus ZenPad S 8.0, although it has less RAM, they both have 4 CPU cores.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much better screen than Asus ZenPad S 8.0, because it has a little bit higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a little bit more pixels per inch in the display and a quite bigger screen. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Asus ZenPad S 8.0. Both have a 8 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back, the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video quality.
The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 features a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 also has an external memory slot that allows up to 128 GB. Asus ZenPad S 8.0's battery lifetime is very similar to the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 one.
