Comparison review

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has an overall score of 70.8, which is slightly better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's overall score of 67.9. Both tablets we compare here use Android operating system, but the Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a newer 5.0 version while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4, giving a lot of extra features and performance tweaks. Google Nexus 7 (2013) is an older and somewhat thicker device than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but Google could make it incredibly lighter anyway.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit faster CPU than Google Nexus 7 (2013), although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, they both have a 2 GB RAM and a Quad-Core processor. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a little more vivid screen than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a just a little higher pixels density, a bigger display and a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 and the Google Nexus 7 (2013) count with really similar cameras, although the Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a worse video resolution, a smaller aperture which is not nice for low-light captures and videos and a lot lower resolution camera in the back. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a way bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has 64 GB internal memory.

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a way better battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we compare here, Google Nexus 7 (2013) is also by far the cheapest one.
