These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has 4.4 version while Lenovo Moto Tab has Android 7.1 Nougat version. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a extremely lighter tablet than the Lenovo Moto Tab, but both are 0.3inches thick.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a lot better display than Lenovo Moto Tab, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and a way greater count of pixels per inch of display. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit faster CPU than Lenovo Moto Tab, although it has lesser cpu cores (although they are faster), they both have a 2 GB RAM.

The Lenovo Moto Tab has just a bit bigger storage for games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 128 GB. Lenovo Moto Tab has a very superior battery life than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Lenovo Moto Tab, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Lenovo Moto Tab. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Lenovo Moto Tab, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your money.
