Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 67.9, which is a bit better than LG G Pad 8.3's global score of 65.9. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 construction is newer and a little thinner than the LG G Pad 8.3's, but it's a little heavier. These tablets come with the same Android 4.4 OS, so you shouldn't notice any differences in that aspect.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a little better performance than LG G Pad 8.3. Both of them have a 2 GB RAM and 4 CPU cores. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit more vivid screen than LG G Pad 8.3, because it has a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution, a little higher amount of pixels in each inch in the display and a bit larger screen.

LG G Pad 8.3 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for capturing images in poorly lited environments, a camera with a lot worse 5 MP resolution and a lower video resolution. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a superior memory for applications, games, photos and videos than LG G Pad 8.3, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.

The LG G Pad 8.3 features a way better battery life than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is way more expensive than LG G Pad 8.3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG G Pad 8.3. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get LG G Pad 8.3, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your savings.
