Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is way better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, getting a general score of 82.4 against 67.9. Although the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a lot newer than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, it's notably heavier and just a little thicker. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) works with Windows 10 Pro OS, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 works with Android 4.4 OS.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much better display than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has a really smaller display and a little worse resolution of 1600 x 2560, it also counts with a better pixel number per screen inch. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a lot bigger storage for apps and games than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has 936 GB more internal memory.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 and Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) feature very similar CPUs, because although the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has an inferior number of cores, it also counts with 14 GB more RAM memory. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a battery duration that's just as good as the battery performance in Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
