Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a general score of 72.2, which is slightly better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's 67.9 overall score. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro OS, and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with Android 4.4 OS. Although it's the best in this comparison review, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a somewhat thicker and a lot heavier tablet than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a brighter screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with much more pixels per screen inch and a bit higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a lot bigger memory to install games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has 448 GB more internal memory capacity.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with just a little better processing power than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with 2 more processing cores. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a battery performance that is very similar to Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's battery life.
