The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 is much better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, having an 81.5 score against 67.9. Microsoft Surface Pro 6 is a a lot newer tablet device than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but it is a little thicker and heavier. Microsoft Surface Pro 6 comes with Windows 10 OS, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 OS.
