Comparison review
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a little bit better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, with a 69.2 score against 67.9. Samsung ATIV Tab 5's design is older, incredibly heavier and extremely thicker than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 comes with Windows 8 operating system, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 operating system.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a way better looking display than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a much better pixel density and a much higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit better processing unit than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has a larger number of cores.
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features much more storage capacity to install games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has 64 GB more internal memory. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 takes a little bit better photographs and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 5. Both have a back facing camera with an 8 MP resolution.
Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is also by far the cheapest.
