The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has an overall score of 77.4, which is better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's 67.9 general score. The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) body is older, a lot heavier and a little bit thicker than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Both devices in our current comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a newer 4.4.2 version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version.
