Comparison review
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, getting a 67.9 score against 66.3. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's construction is a lot newer, extremely lighter and thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Both of these tablets include the same Android 4.4 OS (Operating System). The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Both have a Quad-Core processor and 2 GB of RAM.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much sharper screen than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a way better amount of pixels per display inch. The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a bigger memory to store more games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 32 GB.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because it has a camera with a lot better 8 mega pixels resolution and a much better video definition. Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a way better battery life than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 costs a bit more than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
