Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has a global score of 78.2, which is much better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's 67.9 general score. Both tablets in this comparison review have the same Android 4.4 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding OS features. Although the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is a better tablet than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, we must highlight that it's also older, a lot heavier and just a little thicker.

Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 features just a bit better processing power than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 also has a higher amount of RAM and a graphics co-processor. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, because although it has a really smaller display, and they both have the same 1600 x 2560 resolution, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with more pixels per inch in the screen.

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 also has a SD memory slot that holds up to 64 GB.
