The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), having a 67.9 score against 60.7. Both tablets in this comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the newer 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 version. Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is just a little bit heavier than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), it's way thinner and extremely newer.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a way better screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a way higher 1600 x 2560 resolution, a lot higher pixel number per display inch and a bigger display. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has 1 GB more RAM and more CPU cores.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features just a bit bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 shoots a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a lot better (Full HD) video quality and a lot better 8 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
