Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than Galaxy Tab 3 V, having a 67.9 score against 58.5. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 body is somewhat heavier but much thinner than the Galaxy Tab 3 V. These tablets use the same Android 4.4 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding OS features. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a greater number of cores (and they are faster) and more RAM.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a much higher screen density, a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a bigger screen. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures much better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a way better video definition and a way better resolution camera.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V has a much longer battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
