Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has an overall score of 67.9, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0's overall score of 65.6. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's body is thinner but incredibly heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and both of them were only released 7 months apart. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has an older 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has Android 4.4.2.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a quite superior processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has more RAM. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a better display than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a larger display, a much higher 1600 x 2560 resolution and a lot higher display pixels density.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a way bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage. Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a way better battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 counts with just a bit better camera than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a much less mega-pixels back facing camera, a much worse (HD) video quality and a smaller camera aperture.

If you prefer to save some money, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
