Comparison review

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has an overall score of 67.9, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0's 62.8 score. Both tablets we are comparing here use Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has older 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat. Although it's the best in our current comparison, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 body is just a little thicker and heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a better processing power than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has more RAM memory. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a way better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a bit bigger display, a lot higher 1600 x 2560px resolution and way more pixels per inch in the display.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much better camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a lot higher video quality and a back facing camera with a lot higher resolution. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a superior battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab A 8.0. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, giving up some specs and features.
