Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has a general score of 69, which is a little bit better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's 67.9 global score. Although the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) is a bit thicker than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, it's a little bit lighter and way newer. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has a newer 11 version while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features just a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019). Both of them have a Quad-Core CPU and 2 GB of RAM. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a lot better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), because it has a bit larger screen, a lot higher 1600 x 2560px resolution and a way better quantity of pixels per inch in the display.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) shoots clearer pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Both of them have the same video frame rate, the same (Full HD) video quality and a same resolution camera. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has a much better battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
