The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a global score of 67.9, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8's 62.6 overall score. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's body is incredibly lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, but it is just a little thicker and was released many years before. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has older 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has Android 11 version.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a really superior hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A8, although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster) and 1 GB less RAM. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1600 x 2560 and a lot higher screen pixel density.
Galaxy Tab A8 has a lot bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has only 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that admits up to 1 TB. Galaxy Tab A8 features a superior battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A8. Both have a back facing camera with an 8 mega-pixels resolution.
