Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a little bit better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, getting a general score of 70 against 67.9. Both of these devices have Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4, so it provides you a lot of extra features and better performance. Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a lot newer than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, it's somewhat heavier and way thicker.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with an incredibly better display than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a quite larger screen, a much better amount of pixels per inch in the screen and a lot higher 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, although it has less RAM and an inferior number of cores.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. They have the same video frame rate, a 8 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera and the same video definition. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has just a bit more memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a really longer battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a bit more expensive than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
