Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is slightly better than the Xiaomi MiPad, getting a 67.9 score against 64.4. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 design is a little bit heavier but just a little thinner than the Xiaomi MiPad, and they were released with only a couple months difference. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a little sharper display than Xiaomi MiPad, because it has a quite bigger display, a quite better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and a little bit better display density.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi MiPad, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi MiPad. Both have 2 GB of RAM and a Quad-Core processing unit.
Xiaomi MiPad features a superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Xiaomi MiPad has a slightly better camera than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same (Full HD) video definition and a same resolution back facing camera, the Xiaomi MiPad also has a larger diafragm aperture for better low light photography.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi MiPad, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi MiPad. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi MiPad, letting go some specs and features.
