Asus MeMO Pad 8 is much better than Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013), getting a global score of 61.2 against 47.9. Even though Asus MeMO Pad 8 and Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013) were only released with a couple of months difference, Asus MeMO Pad 8 is lighter and way thinner. Both of these devices have Android operating system, but the Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a newer 4.4 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013) has Android 4.2.2 version.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013), because it has a larger number of cores and a larger amount of RAM memory. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a slightly better looking screen than Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013), because it has a little bit bigger screen, a higher display pixel density and a way better resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.
