Lenovo Tab 7 Essential is slightly better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013), getting a 52.1 score against 47.9. Lenovo Tab 7 Essential's construction is notably newer, thinner and much lighter than Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013). These tablets include Android operating system, but the Lenovo Tab 7 Essential has the newer 7.0 Nougat version and Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013) has Android 4.2.2, so it gives a couple additional features.

The Lenovo Tab 7 Essential features just a bit better processing power than Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013), and although they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, the Lenovo Tab 7 Essential also has a greater number of cores (although they are slower). Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013) has a much better looking display than Lenovo Tab 7 Essential, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013) also has a better 800 x 1280 resolution and more pixels per display inch.

The Lenovo Tab 7 Essential counts with a much better storage capacity for games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013), and although they both have the same internal memory, the Lenovo Tab 7 Essential also has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB. The Lenovo Tab 7 Essential shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013).

Lenovo Tab 7 Essential has a much better battery life than Amazon Kindle Fire HD (2013).
