The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a score of 58.6, which is a little bit better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's 58 general score. Both tablets in this review use Android OS, but Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has 9.0 Pie version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 version, providing you some additional features. Even though the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) is newer than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, it is heavier and a little bit thicker.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a lot better display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a much higher pixel density. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, because it has 16 GB more internal storage and a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
