Comparison review

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 68.5, which is better than Acer Predator 8's general score of 57.7. Both tablets we compare here work with Android OS, but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has the older 4.2.2 version while Acer Predator 8 has Android 5.1 Lollipop. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a notably older and a bit heavier tablet than Acer Predator 8, but Amazon was able to make it just a bit thinner anyway.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features just a bit better hardware performance than Acer Predator 8, and although they both have the same RAM amount and a Quad-Core processor, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has an extra graphics processor. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a lot better looking display than Acer Predator 8, because it has a little better pixel quantity per screen inch, a little bit larger display and a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a better camera than Acer Predator 8, because it has a back-facing camera with a much better resolution. The Acer Predator 8 features a slightly better memory to store more games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB.

Acer Predator 8 counts with a much longer battery life than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
