Comparison review
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), having a 68.5 score against 58.6. Although Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is noticeably older and a little heavier than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), it's body is still thinner. Both of these devices work with Android OS, but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has an older 4.2.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit superior processing unit than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same RAM amount and a Quad-Core processor, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has an additional graphics processing unit. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with an incredibly better screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a little bit larger screen, a much better screen density and a way higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a way bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s battery lifetime is very similar to the battery life in Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 captures way better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a lot more mega-pixels back facing camera.
